The site, which falls within the pretty village of St Catherine’s, running within a short distance to the site is a delightful SSI protected broadleaf woodland with wild orchids and bluebells. Close to the plots is St Catherine’s jetty overlooking which is the site of a late medieval chapel. Also within the village are the remains of a hermit’s kil or cell close to the disused quarry, stone from which was used to build Inveraray Castle.
Although conveniently close to the road network, the plots enjoy a secluded and elevated position. Loch Fyne or Loch of the Vine is the longest of the sea lochs and a top tourist destination popular for fishing, boating and diving and a natural haven for wildlife including otters, seals, dolphins and basking sharks. The area is also known for walking, climbing, cycling and horse riding. About 6 miles away at the head of Loch Fyne are the famous Ardkinglas woodland gardens and the renowned Loch Fyne oyster bar, seafood restaurant and tree shop. Views of the historic town of Inveraray, the first planned town in Scotland with relocated castle and township built around 1746, can be enjoyed from the site. The town has a number of popular attractions including the jail museum and castle and 9-hole golf course. West Hollybush is also within easy reach of Dunoon, the more southerly principal town on the Cowl Peninsula. The site is also ideally situated for access to Glasgow about one hour away with its busy international airport and direct rail links to Edinburgh and London. At Strachur, only a few miles away, are a petrol station and store, medical practice, post office and primary school.

The plots have a paradisal setting with a truly enviable elevated position which boasts uninterrupted views over Loch Fyne. The plots are situated in the attractive village of St Catherine’s, facing west over Loch Fyne to the picturesque town of Inveraray and its surrounding hills and glens. By setting a proxy bid, the system will automatically bid on your behalf to maintain your position as the highest bidder, up to your proxy bid amount. If you are outbid, you will be notified via email so you can opt to increase your bid if you so choose.
If two of more users place identical bids, the bid that was placed first takes precedence, and this includes proxy bids.
Another bidder placed an automatic proxy bid greater or equal to the bid you have just placed. You will need to bid again to stand a chance of winning.
